The Global Report on Food Crises (GRFC), a flagship publication from the Global Network Against Food Crises (GNAFC), is a key instrument for GNAFC’s members and partners to understand the acute food insecurity and malnutrition situation of food crisis contexts. Today, thanks to its rigor and collective expertise, it stands as a trusted global public good, providing essential data to support vulnerable populations facing extreme hunger and malnutrition.

This year marks the tenth edition of the GRFC, reflecting a decade of steadfast commitment towards consensus-based evidence. Over the past ten years, the report has repeatedly sounded the global alarm on food and nutrition crises and informed critical prevention and response efforts. The findings of this year’s edition are sobering and drive home the urgent need for more coherent and coordinated action - noting that two famines were declared in 2025 for the first time in GRFC’s history. Hosted by the UK Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO) in collaboration with ODI Global, the high-level public ceremony will present key findings from the 2026 report and highlight emerging trends in acute food insecurity and malnutrition. The Leadership from the GNAFC members will underscore the urgency of collective action, reaffirm shared commitments and set the strategic direction for coordinated global responses.

The event will take place in a hybrid format, with a live audience at ODI Global and a global livestream to enable participation from around the world.

More information on the programme and speakers will follow.

Register now for in-person or online attendance to hear the latest on global food security and be part of shaping more effective responses to food crises.

The ceremony will be followed by a closed-door roundtable for GNAFC members and key partners to reflect on 10 years of GRFC findings and to collectively develop strategic shifts to enable more coherent, scalable and impact-oriented action to prevent and respond to food crises.
