FEWS NET Releases Latest Global Price Watch
FEWS NET has released the Global Price Watch for November 2011, citing a slight decline in global wheat and maize prices. On the other hand, global rice prices increased slightly due to a decline in Thai exports and floods in Southeast Asia.
Prices in East Asia fell in some surplus-producing areas, as well as areas in the Horn of Africa that continue to receive significant international assistance. Grain supplies are constrained in West Africa due to delayed harvests; this constrain has delayed the seasonal price decreases in that reason.

India's Department of Food and Public Distribution has released a draft of the National Food Security Bill on its website and is encouraging the public to comment and make suggestions by the end of September.

The USDA Economic Research Service has released the latest global outlooks for wheat, rice, feed crops, and oil crops.

GIEWS Releases Latest Global Food Price Monitor
GIEWS has released its latest Global Food Price Monitor for August 2011. According to the report, international wheat prices have continued their three-month decline, while international rice prices continue to rise. Cereals prices in Eastern Africa remain generally high, with several countries seeing new peaks.
